Epcot is known as the foodie park as park guests can experience cuisine from all around the world right in one location and without having to get your passport stamped! Throughout the year Epcot hosts four different festivals:
- Epcot International Food & Wine Festival
- Epcot International Festival of the Holidays
- Epcot International Festival of the Arts
- Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival
Each of these Epcot festivals shares in common the fact that food and beverage offerings are a big component of the event. Throughout the park, marketplaces and food booths are set up to offer guests a wide selection of items to try. A big perk of enjoying festival food and drink offerings is that the items are all smaller sample portions, thus allowing you to try multiple items if you wish. The festivals are always a great time to be adventurous and try something new!
I often times get so caught up dining at the Epcot festival booths, I neglect the fact that even without a festival taking place, Epcot is full of incredible dining options to enjoy year-round! For the next few weeks we have a rare time in Epcot where there is no festival currently taking place. However the absence of an Epcot festival does not equal the absence of incredible food and beverage offerings to be enjoyed. This stretch of time with no Epcot festival is the perfect opportunity to check out some Epcot dining locations that you may have never tried! Let’s take a look at our 3 picks for places to eat in Epcot before the start of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival 2024!
Garden Grill
Located in Epcot’s Land Pavilion the Garden Grill is a hidden gem and features delicious food in a one of a kind setting. One of the most unique characteristics of the Garden Grill restaurant is the fact that it rotates! The entire restaurant floor slowly rotates in a circle giving you a different view during your dinner. The movement is very slow and relaxed, it takes about a full hour to make one full rotation. During the grand circle trip one of the best views has to be overlooking the living with the Land boat ride. The food here is all-you-care-to-enjoy and served family-style. Some of the menu offerings include turkey, roast beef, mac & cheese, mash potatoes and fresh vegetables grown right in the greenhouses at the Land Pavilion. This cuisine is definitely great comfort food and ideal for large groups and families as there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy. Another fun aspect of this restaurant is that it is a character dining experience. During your meal you can meet Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Chip and Dale! Be sure to have your cameras ready as they come around for some great photo ops!
Coral Reef
Moving over the Epcot’s Seas Pavilion you will find the Coral Reef Restaurant. This restaurant has to be one of the coolest environments in the entire park as you actually dine underwater! All of the tables have a great view into the massive Living Seas aquarium. This aquarium is one of the largest aquariums in the country and is home to many fish, sharks, sea turtles, stingrays and more! Enjoy your meal as you watch these beautiful sea creatures swim. It is an experience you won’t soon forget! When it comes to the food the restaurant is known for their seafood and surf and turf!
Teppan Edo
Head over into Epcot’s World Showcase and one of our favorite restaurants can be found at the Japan Pavilion, Teppan Edo. Teppan Edo is a hibachi restaurant experience. Eating here is truly dinner and a show as you watch the talented chefs prepare your meal right in front of your eyes! The menu here offers a wide selection of proteins to choose from including shrimp, scallops, chicken and steak to name a few.
