Do you want to do Walt Disney World like a pro? Here are 5 tips to master the parks & to maximize time on your vacation!
- Rope Drop – I know the last thing you may want to do on your vacation is wake up early, but if you want to avoid lines and maximize your time in the parks, rope drop is the way to go! On a busy day, you can potentially ride more rides in the first couple of hours after park opening than you can the entire day. Plan to get to the parks at least an prior to opening and go straight to the most popular rides first. If you really want to sleep in on your vacation, hitting the rides during a parade or fireworks is a good time too!
- Purchase Genie+ – While I will admit that Genie+ comes with a bit of a learning curve, it’s still an incredibly useful tool that will help you save time on your vacation. With Genie+ you can reserve a time to ride select rides and not have to wait in the long standby lines. This can save you hours of time! If you’ve heard bad reviews of Genie+ and you are nervous to use it, don’t worry, it’s my job is to make sure you’re prepared and ready to go on day 1 of your vacation!
- Eat an early lunch – Quick service restaurants get very busy between 12 and 1 and seats can be hard to come by…especially seats in the air conditioning. Utilize mobile ordering and consider eating an early lunch around 11 if you want to make sure you get a seat and don’t waste time waiting in lines.
- Stay on Disney Property – When you stay on Disney property you get early entry into the theme parks! This is a great way to get in a ton of rides before the large crowd is let in. Deluxe resort guests get extended evening hours on select evenings in select parks which is a big reason to stay at a deluxe resort!
- Have a plan – A good plan is essential to maximizing your time in the parks. Have an idea of what to do first and what can wait until later. This is what I love to help my clients with! We come up with a plan together based on your top priorities!
