So your thinking about an Orlando trip and a stop at Universal Studios? I can help! Universal can be a little more confusing but I can break down the basics and I’ve got a hack that can save you over $1000 on your trip so stick with me 😉
There are 2 theme park and 1 water park plus the City Walk which is their shopping and dining district that doesn’t require a ticket.
You can get tickets for one park per day or make your tickets “Park to Park” so you can go back and forth. If Harry Potter is your jam then you definitely want the Park to Park option so you can ride the Hogwarts Express between Hogsmead and Diagon Alley which are in separate parks.
The next option you may want to add to your ticket is the Express Pass. This is Universals “skip the line” similar to the Genie+ option at Disney parks. It can be used to skip the line for a portion of the rides, one time each ride per day. Or you can get the Express Pass Unlimited and you can use it multiple times per ride that is offered. The cost differs from day to day as well as the daily ticket prices
How Much Does a Universal Express Pass Cost?
The cost of an Express Passes is date dependent. The busier the parks are, the higher the price. The quieter the parks, the lower the price. The highest priced week is the week between Christmas and New Year.
