Experience the Newest Attractions
Walt Disney World has had quite the lineup of newly opened or opening soon attractions to visit this year! Tron Lightcycle Run opened in April 2023 at Magic Kingdom. It is an immersive indoor/outdoor roller coaster that takes you through the power grid to race against the grid’s menacing programs – team red, team yellow, or team orange. Cosmic Rewind, a Guardian’s of the Galaxy themed reverse launch coaster opened at Epcot in May 2022. You get to join Rocket, Groot, Gamora, and Star Lord on an urgent mission where you’ll rewind, rotate, and head towards the action through an exciting space pursuit. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, opening summer 2024, takes you on a journey through a shimmering bayou with Princess Tiana and Louis. You’ll see familiar faces from The Princess and the Frog and see new friends as you’re immersed into the next chapter of Tiana’s story.
Dining Plans Are Back!
Good news for foodies! After a hiatus in 2020, the dining plan has made its return in 2024 with a new look. Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels that purchase a vacation package are eligible to add the dining plan to their vacation. The dining plan offers convenience and the peace of mind of pre-paying for meals and snacks. You can choose from two options – the Quick Service Dining Plan or the Disney Dining Plan. The Quick Service Dining Plan includes two quick service meals, one snack, and a resort refillable mug. The Disney Dining Plan includes 1 table service meal, one quick service meal, one snack, and a resort refillable mug. Both plans offer great value whether you are all about fast and convenient or sit down meals, even character dining options!
Special Events
Whether you are visiting Walt Disney World during the holidays, on summer vacation, or in the spring, there is almost always a fun event going on! Each park has celebrations throughout the year including Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival happening February 28th through May 27th, Fourth of July celebrations with specialty nighttime spectaculars at Magic Kingdom and Epcot, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom on select nights from August to October, Disney’s Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios on select nights in November and December, and even more!
Immerse In Character Experiences
Disney has announced new character experiences opening this year! 1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort reopens April 10th with a new character dining experience featuring Aladdin in his Prince Ali look, Cinderella, Mirabel, and Tiana in her new look for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. You can also meet Figment in the Imagination Pavillion in Epcot, within the exit of the Journey Into Imagination ride! If you are a Star Wars fan, you have the opportunity to meet the Mandalorian and Grogu while they roam around Batuu in Hollywood Studios.
Enjoy Time With The Kids – Why Wait?
Why wait for the “perfect” moment or “perfect” age? Walt Disney World is timeless for all ages, especially the kids! There is no better reason to visit other than to make lasting memories with your family and friends. Seize the opportunity to share the magic now rather than wait. An even better bonus is that if you have a little one under the age of 3, they get to join in on the fun for free – an extra bit of pixie dust for families with younger dreamers. Taking time to celebrate your friends and family and create lifelong memories together is how everyone should spend their 2024!
