Holiday celebrations are right around the corner at Walt Disney World, and we are excited to give you tips and tricks on how and where to celebrate this season! There are multiple offerings in all four Walt Disney World Parks and in many surrounding Disney Resort Hotels. There are so many ways to celebrate. Have yourself a merry little vacation by choosing a festivity to celebrate or experience them all!
Jollywood Nights
This year, Hollywood Studios’ holiday celebration – Jollywood Nights – is back! Guests can join in the festive fun at Disney Jollywood Nights, a 5-hour holiday party from 7:30 PM to 12:30 AM. This festivity is a separately ticketed event taking place select nights from November 9th to December 21st. Experience new and returning entertainment, including more than 20 unique Character experiences. Take part in fun photo ops – your event ticket includes digital downloads of your Disney PhotoPass photos and videos from the event. There will be exclusive shows, merchandise, and food and drinks offered at Jollywood Nights. Plus, a Wondermade sweet treat is included with your event ticket, provided at the end of the night as you exit.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
Magic Kingdom will also be hosting a separately ticketed event, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Mickey’s Christmas Party is offered on select evenings November 8th to December 20th, from 7:00 PM to midnight. This party is a fan favorite, and guests will be able to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year with festive entertainment, a storybook holiday atmosphere, sweet treats, and more at this yuletide event! Delight in the amazingly festive Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks show and gather to watch Disney characters give a yuletide nod to the season during Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. This party will have exclusive shows, merchandise, and festive cookies and beverages. Enjoy holiday magic throughout Magic Kingdom as the park lights up with enchanted excitement!
Epcot International Festival of the Holidays
Celebrate holidays around the world and get wrapped up in the festive sights, sounds, and flavors of the season at EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays beginning November 29th through December 30th. Discover an abundance of festive fun at EPCOT during this festival. Experience the stirring story of Christmas with a celebrity narrator and glorious massed choir accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra, herald trumpets, and the Voices of Liberty at the Candlelight Processional. Meet Santa Claus, listen to live music, and gather around lively storytellers as they share holiday legends and lore from around the world. Participate in the holiday cookie stroll, see the Glimmering Greenhouses at Living With The Land, and go on a quest to find holiday traditions on Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition Scavenger Hunt! There is so much to see and do at EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays!
Merry Menagerie at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, experience the mystical Merry Menagerie, life-sized artisan-sculpted puppets that interact with guests in Discovery Island throughout the day. These beautiful winter beings bring a true sense of magic to the holiday celebration at Animal Kingdom. Guests will leave in awe, feeling truly immersed in the spirit of walking in a winter wonderland.
If you don’t plan on visiting any of the parks but you still want to experience Disney Christmas magic, visit or stay at one of Walt Disney World’s Resort Hotels. Each hotel will have its own decorative sparkle on display for the holidays. Many resorts will have elaborate gingerbread house displays for guests to observe. In 2023, the Contemporary Resort displayed a 100th Celebration-themed Gingerbread Castle. It stood over 17 feet tall with 612 pounds of sugar, 112 pounds of gingerbread spice, 1012 pounds of flour, over 4000 castle gingerbread bricks, and 12 sprinklings of magical pixie dust! Guests can expect to see more of the magnificent grandeur this year at the Disney Resort Hotels.
