407&Beyond travel agent Wyatt Frantz recently set sail with his daughter aboard the Disney Treasure—and from incredible entertainment to stingray encounters, their adventure offered plenty of Disney magic.
The Disney Treasure’s adventure-inspired design immediately made an impression on Wyatt.
“We loved the adventure theme of the ship,” he said. “The blues and gold accents and the atrium were beautiful.”
As theme park fans, Wyatt and his daughter especially enjoyed the Haunted Mansion Parlor and the ship’s ghost-hunting experience. Those immersive touches helped make exploring the ship part of the vacation itself.
Exploring the Caribbean
Their cruise visited Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Disney Castaway Cay. While each destination offered something different, Castaway Cay remained a favorite.
“Castaway Cay is always a highlight,” Wyatt said. “Crystal-clear water, lunch included—and we swam with stingrays.”

The private island experience combines a beautiful beach day with the convenience Disney cruisers appreciate. With food included and activities available for the family, it was an easy highlight of the voyage.
So Much to Do Onboard
Wyatt and his daughter found no shortage of things to experience aboard the Disney Treasure. One standout was the ship’s production of Disney The Tale of Moana.
“The Moana show was the best show I’ve seen across any cruise line,” Wyatt said.
The kids clubs were another big success. His daughter was excited to return every night, giving her something special to look forward to while Wyatt had time to enjoy some of the ship’s adults-only entertainment.
Their family also attended the Adventure Tea with Royalty party. Wyatt enjoyed how the experience has been expanded from similar offerings on older ships, including the introduction of the storytellers onboard.
Along with its activities and entertainment, the cruise included Broadway-style shows, rotational dining at three different restaurants, quick-service dining, room service, access to Disney’s private island and, of course, unlimited ice cream.
A Helpful Tip for First-Time Cruisers
With so much happening onboard, Wyatt recommends leaving time to enjoy the ship itself—even while it is docked at a port.
“The ship has so much to offer,” he said. “During port days, the ship is empty. Take a port day and use that time to meet characters with no lines or take advantage of riding the AquaMouse with limited waits.”

Skipping a port may feel unusual for a first-time cruiser, but a quieter ship can mean more time enjoying popular attractions and character experiences without the usual crowds. It can also provide a relaxing break during an activity-filled vacation.
Fun for Adults, Too
Although this was a father-daughter trip, the Disney Treasure offered plenty for adults to enjoy.
Wyatt recommends not missing Choose Wisely: An Indiana Jones Comedy Adventure. He also found a variety of adults-only shows and activities to enjoy while his daughter was having fun in the kids clubs.
That balance allowed them both to have experiences designed for them—and then come back together to enjoy the ship, entertainment and destinations as a family.
From the beautiful adventure-themed spaces and impressive kids clubs to the Caribbean ports and unforgettable entertainment, Wyatt and his daughter found plenty to love aboard the Disney Treasure. Their voyage was a great reminder that a Disney cruise can offer something special for every member of the family—along with a little unlimited ice cream.
