If you love the Marvel Cinematic Universe get ready for an action packed day on board the Disney Magic celebrating Marvel Day at Sea.
On select Disney Cruise Line sailings in 2022 and 2023, you can join your favorite characters from the Marvel Universe as you enjoy a day on the open ocean.
Welcome to a day in my life as a passenger onboard the Disney Magic at sea!
7:0am: Time to start the day! I got up, got dressed, and headed to Cabanas the buffet style dining to grab some breakfast. I wasn’t particularly hungry this morning so I ended up with some orange juice, eggs Benedict and a bowl of fresh fruit. Although it was windy, we did eat outside to watch the sun come up over the waves.
8:00am: After breakfast we headed to the Senses Spa for a reservation in the Rainforest Room. The Rainforest room is a private experience you can reserve for up to 10 guests in your party. Inside you will find, an aroma steam room, heated lounge chairs, a sauna, and unique showers. I enjoyed rotating between each room, the showers, and resting on the heated chairs. This hidden gem was the perfect way to kick off an action packed day.
11:00am: After letting my worries melt away in the spa it was time to get to business and check out the daily schedule using the navigator app. My first stop was to meet Groot, however, due to technical difficulties (Rocket I am looking at you) I had to push back our meeting time to 11:30am. In the meantime, I enjoyed a making of Marvel movie which took us through the history of Marvel comics and the making of the cinematic universe.
11:30: Met up with Groot and Star-Lord who both were happy to be onboard the Disney Magic, although Groot didn’t have too much to say but “I am Groot” which in response I let him know, “I am Meg”
12:00pm: After meeting Groot, I took my inspiration to the Animator’s class in the Promenade Lounge where they taught us how to draw him. Mine turned out a little more mean looking than I hoped for but it was fun to follow along the class and watch him come to life on the page!
12:30pm: Sat down for some lunch at Rapunzel’s Royal Table which had a menu inspired by Marvel and grabbed a drink of the day which included fun pop rocks!
2:00pm: After filling up at lunch, I headed over to the Fathoms Lounge for the USO show which featured hits from when Captain America was young in the 1940s. The show was complete with the Star Spangled Man with a Plan making an appearance at the end.
3:00pm: At this point, the ship was busy, there was heroes in the atrium, heroes in the hallways, heroes by the pool and you had Mickey and friends dressed as their favorite heroes roaming about too! However, I had dinner plans at Palo the adult only dining so I had to get cleaned up.
5:00pm: Ran up from my room to make it to Mickey and his pals showing off their favorite superheroes in an action packed show. This was adorable and I loved watching them show off their superhero moves!
6:00pm: Enjoyed a quiet elevated dinner at Palo. This was a great experience our food was absolutely delicious and we got to watch the sunset from our seats which was beautiful.
8:30pm: Tony Stark was unleashing new technology on the pool deck so of course I had to check it out. Didn’t seem to go as planned, bad guys took over the ship it was a whole ordeal but of course the Avengers saved the day! And it was complete when Tony Stark eliminated some drones that lit up the sky. I will say this was probably the best nighttime show I have ever seen at any Disney location. I loved seeing Stan Lee as the Captain in the bridge and was so excited to see so many Avengers it was a long list ready: Thor, Loki, Hawkeye, Captain Marvel, The Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Widow, Captain America, Dr. Strange, Iron Man, Black Panther, and my favorite Spiderman.
10:00pm: After a long action filled day it was time to go to bed and rest before another fun day at Castaway Cay.
