Getting to Disney from Orlando International Airport

Beginning in 2022, all Walt Disney World Resort guests will need to find alternative transportation options from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to their resort of choice.

Doing a quick google search will provide plenty of options, but to ensure you have the best experience and keep you from an awkward rideshare incident – I’ve created a list of transportation resources that will give the best options for traveling from MCO to Disney property.

Mears Connect

The company behind Walt Disney World’s Magical Express, Mears, will begin providing transportation services beginning January of 2022- under their new program “Mears Connect.” Mears websites states, it will be providing the “same reliable, safe service guests have been using for decades.”

Booking with Mears Connect you will board a motorcoach from the airport and ride straight to your Walt Disney World area hotel. Mears has created two separate pricing options for this service.

Standard Service- ($32/adult and $27/child roundtrip)
A shared ride service that will make a limited number of stops and have you on your way to the resort within 20 minutes of check-in at the Mears Connect reception area.

Express Service ($200 up to 4 passengers roundtrip + $55 for additional passengers)
A direct service to your resort and back to the airport, this option may still include a shared vehicle with other parties- but you are the first stop.

Wingz
A rideshare company unlike Uber or Lyft, that provides a more elevated and professional private transportation option with affordable pricing. Each of the drivers is thoroughly interviewed and submitted for background checks before service begins. Once in service, these drivers receive continual training to assure they provide the best possible ride and create the opportunity to develop long lasting relationships with their clients.

To use the Wingz service guests can book their transportation two months in advance, know your fixed-rate fare up front and book your favorite driver (if you have one).

To get from Orlando International Airport to Pop Century Resort- I received the following quote:
1-3 Passengers with 3 bags: $66
4-6 Passengers with 6 bags: $87

These prices would be the same for the return trip. Making your total $132 for 1-3 passengers or $174 for 4-6 passengers.

Tiffany Town Car
I found out about Tiffany Town Car from a fellow travel agent. This company has been in business since the late 90s and provides luxury and comfort in late model Lincoln Towncars, Vans, or Limousines. Each of the drivers will provide professional service and meet you at the baggage claim area of the airport before taking you to your Disney-area hotel.

Tiffany Town Car offers a 20-minute grocery stop on your way to the resort, to grab any waters or snacks you may need for your stay.

Their website includes a variety of rates, below are all the details.
Towncar (4 people- 4 suitcases, 1 booster) $80 one way or $150 round trip
Mini Van (5 people- 6 suitcases, 1 booster- 1 car seat) $90 one way or $160 round trip
SUV (6 people- 6 suitcases, 2 boosters- 2 car seats) $95 one way or $180 round trip
Van (10 people- 12 suitcases, 2 boosters- 2 car seats) $105 one way or $195 round trip

Martin Faynik- Orlando Taxi Service
I found Orlando Taxi Service through a Disney Facebook group and after looking over the information, was instantly hooked. Marty, the owner has been working in the tourism field for over 25 years and is extremely knowledgeable about the Disney parks.

His company prides themselves on being professional, personable, and dependable. If it’s your first trip to Disney World, he’ll play videos of the parks showing you tips and tricks (very much like the Magical Express) as you ride to your resort hotel. If you would like to stop by the grocery store to grab some necessities for your vacation, that is included with your fare as well.

His service also carries two car seats and two booster seats, so you won’t have to bring these from. If your flight is delayed, there’s no extra fee. Below is the pricing for Marty’s transportation services, all rates are for 1-7 passenger’s roundtrip from Orlando International Airport to Disney World area hotels.
The Springs Hotels– $130
EPCOT Area Resorts– $147
Magic Kingdom Area Resorts– $165
Animal Kingdom Lodge– $163
All Stars Resorts– $144
Pop Century Resort & Art of Animation Resort– $150
Riviera Resort– $140
Port Orleans Resort- French Quarter or Riverside– $146

With all of the information above, I hope this helps you to find a great transportation option for you and your families next magical vacation! Keep checking back for more, as I share tips and information that will arm you with the best knowledge to conquer Walt Disney World like the pro’s!
