Do you schedule time in your Disney trip to enjoy Disney Springs? It’s one of my favorite things to do in Disney. There are so many unique shops and tons of delicious food! We were so excited to try Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ and it did not disappoint!
Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ is the restaurant serving recipes by award winning celebrity chef, Art Smith. It’s known for its down home, rustic farmhouse feel, and incredible fried chicken.
A warning…come hungry! The portion sizes are HUGE! We started off with the hush puppy appetizer. They are served with pimento cheese dip and red jalapeño jelly. I can’t say they were my favorite. I love hush puppies, but these were pretty spicy and I was not expecting it. The cheese dip and jelly were amazing!
For entrées, we ordered a The Art Burger, Art’s Famous Fried Chicken, and Chicken and Donuts (because why not?). The fried chicken was by far the best fried chicken I’ve ever had! It was served with mashed potatoes either plain or with bacon and cheddar. I added the bacon and cheddar (because why not?) They
were so creamy and cheesy…definitely recommend adding the fixin’s. The Chicken and Donuts were to die for! This entrée had powdered sugar sprinkled over the fresh donuts AND the fried chicken…sounds strange, but it was delicious!
The burger was good, but I say stick to the chicken!
The service was top notch! Our waiter was so personable and gave great recommendations. When they didn’t have the Cherry Coke we were all craving, our waiter had the bartender make up it up for us! Sometimes it’s the little things!
We were stuffed by the time we finished our entrées. No room for dessert. The brunch menu looks incredible so we will definitely be back to check that out! I highly recommend checking this place out on your next visit to Disney Springs!
