The first time I stepped through the brick wall into Diagon Alley it felt like I was being transported straight into the world of Harry Potter. The details from the movies and the books just surround you in a way that really takes your breathe away. It took me a couple minutes to even blink because I just wanted to see it all and soak everything in. I remember looking up at the dragon on the top of the Gringotts bank and the wand shop Olivanders to my right and just thinking “wow this can’t be real”. I went to the wand shop to start because what is a witch without a wand right? At the wand experience, Olivander actually chose me and I got to have my wand pick me. When the lights shined down on me and the music played during that moment I remember being so overwhelmed with excitement and joy. I spent the rest of the day sipping butterbeer, trying out all the spells, and just taking in every little detail. It was such a surreal day that I will always remember and cherish.
