Thank the Phoenicians! Guests will soon be able to experience the awe and wonder of Spaceship Earth in an all-new lounge inspired by the icon of EPCOT at Walt Disney World.
Spaceship Earth has been welcoming visitors to EPCOT for over 40 years, and the new lounge is inspired by the stories, shapes, and enduring legacy of this timeless beacon. Disney described the lounge saying, “The zen space to gather and enjoy refreshments will be draped with rich textures and warm metallic tones, giving it a mysterious and elegant intimacy.” The lounge is planned to take the place of a former corporate lounge and will be overlooking the World Celebration area of the park. Based on the concept art provided by Disney, guests will have a spectacular view of the fireworks.
The announcement of this lounge was released at this year’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, and it is scheduled to open in 2025.
