Disney Cruise Line to Set Sail in Japan

Experience the unparalleled magic onboard Disney Cruise Line...in Japan! Year-round sailings are set to arrive in Japan beginning early 2029.

On July 9th, Disney Cruise Line announced a new agreement with Oriental Land Co., Ltd. (OLC) that will bring year-round Disney cruise vacations to Japan! OLC will operate a Disney-branded cruise business in Japan that is expected to begin by early 2029. A new cruise ship, to be registered and based in Japan year-round, will be constructed at Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, with imaginative designs created by Walt Disney Imagineering. The ship will be a sister ship to the Disney Wish and will feature many guest-favorite venues and experiences from the Disney Wish. Select modifications will be specially designed with Japanese guests in mind.

The addition of a locally based Disney cruise ship will offer fun and relaxation for Japanese Disney fans and visitors from around the world during magical voyages filled with the incredible entertainment, world-class dining and exceptional guest service. We are so excited to see this new Disney vacation experience come to life!

More details about the voyages will be released by Disney at a later date. Here at 407&Beyond Vacation Co., we are dedicated to staying up to date on all things new! If you are interested in booking a vacation, contact one of our agents here. We can’t wait to help you plan your dream trip!
