As a travel agent, I have experienced the magic of a variety of seasons. My favorite season to explore has always been in the Spring. For Spring Break, two trips always stay in the back of my mind. In March of 2022, I decided to go to Arizona for a hiking trip with my friends to celebrate my sister’s 23rd birthday. Last year, I had an amazing opportunity to go on a road trip down to Florida to spend a few days in Disney World and Universal Orlando. From the breathtaking views to the wonderful weather, there has always been something truly special about Spring Break. I believe this is the perfect opportunity to break out of a typical routine and take a chance to create unforgettable memories.
Spring Break has consistently been my preferred time for travel due to the arrival of warmer weather. After being cooped up in my home from chilly temperatures, spring break gives the perfect chance to travel to new places and take on a new adventure. This season offers the optimal opportunity to engage in a variety of activities to explore the area around you. Spring brings the perfect combination of warm weather, without it affecting your vacation. While planning a trip, the weather is one concept to keep in mind to make the most out of your vacation. Especially if you are walking a lot and waiting in long lines. If you plan to travel with younger children, this could be a good time to travel to miss out on Florida’s humidity and not worry about your kids getting sunburnt. Still it is preferred to reapply sunscreen every couple of hours.
Once I start planning my vacations, the second thing to consider is crowds. Typically you will find the busiest travel times in the Winter and Summer months. If escaping crowds is important to your family, then the Spring time could be your perfect time to take off. Crowds can be overwhelming for a lot of people, especially if your destination in mind is a theme park. With fewer crowds, it gives the best chance to enjoy the area without feeling rushed. The Spring season allows you to immerse yourself in nature’s vibrant colors without it being the peak season for travel. Whether you plan a hiking trip, beach trip, or plan on going to an amusement park. The low crowds will allow you to explore your surroundings without bumping shoulder to shoulder with other people. This experience alone will alone create fun memories with your traveling party.
Spring break is an exciting time to travel with friends and family. Most schools also allow a week-long break during this time, which makes it convenient for families to plan a trip without worrying about their children missing anything important in school. If you plan to go to Disney or Universal, they typically offer special offers and entertainment during this time. In Epcot at Disney World, you will be able to experience the Flower and Garden Festival. If you travel with Grandparents, they will surely love taking in the ambience of this time. From the parades, attractions, and character meet-and-greets, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
Furthermore, Disney and Universal will be holding a variety of events in the Spring. The first event that comes to mind is the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. This event typically takes place early March and runs through late May. During this time you can expect to see an array of flower arrangements, different food stands in the World Showcase, and live entertainment. At Magic Kingdom, you will experience the new seasonal decor that takes place in the springtime. Another thing to consider is the Easter season. There will be Easter celebrations in Disney, which includes a variety of events and activities. One event that is popular is the Easter Egg Hunt, which is catered for all ages. Throughout the year, Disney hosts a variety of RunDisney events. It might make sense to plan your vacation around this event to avoid larger crowds.
Universal offers a selection of events during the Spring season. One of the popular events is Mardi Gras hosted by Universal Studios, Orlando. This is a celebration with astounding parades, authentic cuisine, live musical performances throughout the park, and beads to wear. If you are considering this event, it typically starts in February and goes through April. Giving enough time for people to come and join this wonderful festive time. During this time you can also enjoy celebrations for Saint Patrick’s day and the Easter holiday. Each having its own unique entertainment and themed food. Universal wants to make each season unique for guests to have a new experience each time they visit. Ideally keeping up to date with the official Universal website can offer a new insight in planning your vacation.
